With a Master in Communication Management from Barcelona University (UB) and a degree in Marketing from Columbia Business School in NYC, Gemma has managed the communication of leading brands such as “Congelados La Sirena” (a frozen food chain). She has been named the first female member of several Spanish Business Associations such as the Employers Association Cecot, is Vice-President of the EWMD Spain (European Women Management Directors) and she is a Lecturer on the Masters Course in Strategic Planning at UAB (Barcelona Autonomous University). Gemma founded Ellas Deciden by Peix & Co. in 2001, the first Communication Agency in Spain. The goal of Ellas Deciden is to “feminize” and help brands to become more profitable whilst recognizing the tastes, interests and priorities of women who represent 80% of the purchasing power of the market.
Gemma is an international lecturer, columnist, branding and opinion maker in forums and the media. She is the author of the first blog on female branding in Spanish: www.ellasdeciden.com. Her latest book “Ellas Deciden” (Women Decide) is her 7th book and is about Management and the purchasing power of Women.
